Deborah Klein Walker, EdD
Dr. Walker is a national public health leader and former president of the American Public Health Association. She has implemented programs and system change and conducted research, evaluation, policy analysis, and consulting on a broad range of public policy issues.
Currently, Dr. Walker is an Adjunct Professor at Boston University School of Public Health and Tufts University School of Medicine, the Board President of Family Voices, and a Board Member of the Institute of Community Health and the Cambridge Health Alliance Foundation.
Previous positions include: Associate Commissioner for Programs and Prevention and Title V Director at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Trustee of the Cambridge Health Alliance, Vice-President/Senior Fellow at Abt Associates, Associate Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health, President of the Global Alliance for Behavioral Health and Social Justice, and President of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. Dr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Education and Doctor of Education in Human Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
