Janet Farrell, BA Associate
Ms. Farrell is a seasoned public health professional with experience in strategic planning, program development and implementation, quality improvement, collaboration and grant writing. She successfully obtained federal funding from multiple agencies and was the Project Director and Principal Investigator for these grants and cooperative agreements for many years.
Ms. Farrell developed and directed the Massachusetts Universal Newborn Hearing Screening initiative, and several other projects in her role as a senior manager in the Department of Public Health, Children and Youth with Special Health Needs Program. She also oversaw the Massachusetts Newborn Screening Advisory Committee, participated in New England regional genetics activities, and contributed to numerous statewide and national work groups. Ms. Farrell received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services from the Center for Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
